In recent time, it can be found in a powdered form and only a small amount is need to impart the Prekese flavour into the dish.

All you need to do is cut the pods into pieces, or grind it and add to your cooking. However, to prepare the fruits for medication purposes, you are to cut few pods into pieces and boil in water for about 30 minutes.
